JANE DOE 5

They waited.



Listening to the sound of the elevator descending.There were at least Fifteen automatic weapons  trained towards the door.
Samuel tightened his grip on his rifle
"Are you sure we have enough guns to kill this b**ch?"he whispered.







No one responded.



All eyes were focused on the door.
They waited.



DING!



The doors opened.



Jane Doe's fierce eyes regarded the automatic weapons pointed at her.



"Why is she just standing there?...doesn't she....?



"Fire!!!"Jabari's scream cut Caroline off.



Gun fire exploded in the room.Bullets tore through the air with shells slamming and Rochetting off walls and metal panels.A thick cloud of smoke engulfed the elevator doorway.They couldn't see what they were shooting at anymore,but they kept firing.Nuzzles burned and magazines emptied.



"Cease firing!!"Jabari screamed.



A few rounds went off.Then it stopped.



Long silence.



The smoke was still thick.



Jabari signalled the men to move in closer.



The soldiers obeyed but approached cautiously.



"Do you think she's dead?"Caroline whispered.



"No f**king clue"Samuel replied.



From the cloud of smoke,something lashed out at a nearby soldier.The man was thrown into the air with a loud thud.



Jane Doe emerged.



Her movements were a blur.Most of the soldiers barely had time to aim before she pounced on them.Bones were crushed, splintered  and men screamed as wild shots were fired.



Christie fired off a few rounds,but it was impossible to hit something that moved so fast.



"Fall back!!!!"Jabari screamed.Just then,something whistled through the air faster than an arrow fired from a bow and smashed into the skull of a soldier close to him.The man's head literary exploded on impact sending bloody bone fragments in all directions.

More gunshots,more screams.



"Retreat!!!"



More Shots and screams rang out.



Christie was the first to comply, holding her rifle steady letting off a few rounds as she backed away into the corridor.The others followed.



Every two seconds or so,another soldier's body would be flung,broken or torn to pieces.There were blood splatters everywhere.



"Fall back!!!"



They broke into a run heading back to the infirmary.



More shots,more screams.




Christie was the first through the door the others rushed in as another shriek rang out.



Samuel slammed the metal door shut just as something heavy  hit the door on the other side.



Pounding on the other side.



"Open the door!!!"came the Frantic  screams of a man.



More pounding.



More sound of gunshots.



"We can't just leave him outside...."Caroline's voice was frantic and out of breath.



More pounding.



"Open the f**king door Dammit!!!"



More gun shots.



"If you open that door,we're all dead"Jabari panted.



"Bulls**t!He's one of your men!!!"Caroline yelled.



More Pounding.



"Open this f**king door......Oh God!!!"



Loud stream of gun fire close to the door.



Sound of something breaking.



High-Pitched scream.



Then silence.



They all seemed to be holding their breaths inside the room.



Then something strong hit the door on from the other side.



The steel door shuddered.



They moved away from the door,weapons ready.



The door was struck again.



"Will....will the door....hold?"Caroline whispered.The fear in her voice was glaring.



"I don't know"Jabari replied.A tiny bead of sweat rolled down the side of his face.



The door shuddered again.



A tremor ran through Caroline.



Then there was a long silence on the other end.



"I got a few rounds into her,"Samuel whispered."Why's the b**ch still standing?"
Jabari was silent.His eyes and 357.combat magnum were focused on the door.



"How soon before reinforcements arrive?"Victor asked after a long silence.His rifle still trained at the door.There was a sheen of sweat on his face.



"This is a top Secret Black site"Jabari gulped."....No one's coming"



"You're s**tting us,right?"Came Christie's voice.

"I...s**t you not!"Jabari said flatly.



"Who the f**k are you people?"Came Jane Doe's voice from the other side.



They stared at each other in silence.



"What the f**k do you want from me?"Jane Doe's voice said.She didn't sound out of breath.



"We're here to help you"Jabari's voice sounded desperate.



"That's funny,"Jane Doe's voice was almost casual."Looks like you were trying to kill me"



They all exchanged curious looks.



"You're sick,"Jabari said."We can help"



Long silence.







Caroline could feel the perspiration on the back of her neck.



"Prove it,"Jane Doe said simply."Open this f**king door"There was a hint of rage in her voice.



Long pause.



"And....how do we know,you wont try to kill us?"Jabari asked.There was fear in his voice.



"You don't."Jane Doe said flatly."But you've got five seconds to open this door"



No one moved.Even Caroline knew it was bulls**t.



Long silence.



"Time's up"Jane Doe said calmly."You're all going to die here"
