NOBODY IS PERFECT!!!

Once upon a time there was a young man named Handsome. As his name implied,he was a handsome  man to behold.

He was in his thirties and badly wanted to settle down. But he had a problem....too many women in his life.

They literally came in all shapes and sizes.
Tall,short,fat,slim,ugly,beautiful,rich and poor.

He had a hard time choosing which was going to be his wife.

One night,Handsome said a prayer that went like this,

"Dear lord, please bring me a woman that is Perfect for me,all these girls are good but are lacking in certain areas.
Please help me....Amen!

That night, he had a dream.

In his dream,he was driving through a lonely road.

Suddenly, something fell out of the sky and crashed into the ground in front of his car.

He got out of the car and discovered a large crater created by the fallen object.

Inside the crater was a woman. An extremely beautiful woman with wings.

"Oh my God,an angel!!" He gasped as he approached her.

The woman was a little disoriented but otherwise okay.

"Where did you come from?"He asked.

She turned to him and with a perfect smile said,
"I was sent from heaven for you"

He felt his heart racing.

Could it be?Could this be the woman of his dreams? He pondered.

For she was perfect in stature and had the voice of a sweet melody.

He was so excited.

Surely, his prayers had been answered. He thought.

Then a thought occurred to him.

"But you're an angel  right?"

"Yes....",she said.Rising to her feet.

"....You are to be my husband, and I your wife....In all ways I was crafted to your specifications...Come to me my love..."She said as she approached him.

He took a step back.

"I can't marry an angel...that's just wrong...."he said.

".....I mean...you're supposed to be holy and stuff right?....how can I be with a woman like that?Besides I can't marry a woman that is too holy....I want  a bit of a bad girl....with the fear of God"

"So none of your girls is a bad girl?"The woman asked curiously.

"Well....Ada is too much of a bad girl, she's scary abeg, Bola is too much of a good girl,....Eso is broke,....Amaka is too arrogant because she thinks she has too much  money and Tonia...."

"Shut up!!!"The woman commanded, silencing him instantly.

Her  wings expanded.

"Will you be my husband or not.....??? she thundered.

He paused for a long time and then shook his head.

The woman smiled at him and said,
"Nobody is perfect"

Then in an instant, she was gone.Leaving him alone on the quiet road.

That's when he woke up.

"What does this mean?" he whispered into an empty room.

When it comes to relationships/marriage, humans are naturally flawed and would never meet all your expectations and specifications.

Even if an Angel fell from the sky today with the perfect looks and personality, there would still be a reason/excuse not to be with him/her.

You are not perfect, and expecting your spouse to be is unfair and would only leave you constantly dissatisfied.

I'm not saying one should settle for less, I'm just saying....Nobody is perfect.

LIFE IS A CHOICE MY FRIEND
SO CHOOSE WISELY
ENOUGH SAID

  1. Yeah nobody is perfect. We all have our flaws and all. I don't expect my hubby to be perfect and he's not. But I thank God for the man he gave to me.

  4. Opus, are you a magician. This is exactly what I'm going yhrough at the moment. My husband is not perfect and I don't expect him to be. But he wants me to be all shares of perfect.and most time his wishes are contracdictory. He doesn't want a successful career woman but at the same he want a woman that will provide money to run the house including paying sch fees when he's not in a position to do so. He doesn't want a woman that is sexially experienced but he want a woman that will satisfy him very well in bed. How do you reconcile that? Anyway I no send anybody. I'm not perfect and I'm not going to pretend to be. God will help us.

    2. Some people are just impossible to please. If you cut out your heart and serve it to them on a silver platter. You'll get responses like "what happened to the gold platter? Has it finished?" or "how come u cut the veins so jagged on one side?" "i cant see the arteries very well"

  18. The truth is none of us are easy to date, deal with or please all the time. We have our vices, attitudes and ways of doing things that makes us who we are. You won't like everything about somebody, it's impossible. This is life, and it isn't about finding the perfect person,it isn't about living some fairy tale; it's about finding something you're willing to work for, with somebody who's willing to work with you, that simple. Find somebody who has a heart for you and never stop fighting for them. Doesn't mean you should settle for less.
