WTF???

They stared at the ceiling in silence. There was actually nothing to say. John's mind orbited around a single question over and over again.: Why the f**k did I let that happen?" For the life of him, he couldn't give a satisfactory answer to that question other than; he was horny....and he just wanted to.

As the sweat  slowly dried from his skin, he tried to throw some justification on  the deed. After all, when asked why he'd climbed mount Everest, an explorer  had replied, " because it's there" . John doubted  a " because she was there " explanation would be sufficient  response for his wife when she eventually found out he'd humped her  sister.

He  sat up on the bed and stared at the discarded clothes on the ground. It had happened so fast, he thought. One second they were staring into each other's eyes  in that frozen moment when a girl and guy know that a shag is inevitable, then it was lips and hands all over the place in a mad frenzy. There was a lot of panting and dirty talk in between and then it was over. And they were both staring into the ceiling with that weird after-sex expression on their faces. Wild images of the "event" (complete with audio) flashed through his mind.


He knew he was f**ked. Not just because he had just had sex with an in law, but because he had done so without a condom.


"Wow!!" Lillian panted after a long silence. "That was........surprising"
He covered his face with his hands and sighed.

"I almost thought it was never going to happen" Lilian said, gingerly sitting up. There was no regret in her voice. In fact, she sounded elated. " finally, it happened.....and it was.....AMAZING! No wonder Jennifer's so protective of you"

Long pause.
"What?" He heard his own voice say. He stared at her incredulously.
"What?" She shrugged. " Why do you seem so sad?.....oh!  You're worried about me getting pregnant?"

She massaged his shoulder blades tenderly.
" Don't worry. I wont tell anyone you got me pregnant....no one will know the baby's yours. Not unless the child looks like you.....that would just be weird....do you think Alexa's a good name if its a boy......?"

John felt the blood drain from his face.
"W-woah--Woah!!" He turned to face her on the bed. His eyes strayed the curve of her naked  backside just lying there begging to be humped.

"...You want to get pregnant??" He exclaimed. Averting his gaze away from her glorious butt. " Do you realise I am married to your elder sister?"

"What? I'm supposed to feel guilty now?......that didn't seem to bother you while you were calling me, 'baby'....and 'sweetest girl'.....oooh! did you call me,...' Sugar vagina?'....thought I heard you say that while my legs were in the air.....or was that before you had me on all fours.....?"

"Lilian, this is serious. It could destroy my marriage!!!"
"See me see wahala" she declared, looking around as if they had an invisible audience. "Didn't I yell...' John, wait...stop' more than once? Do you realise you tore off my panties?....nawa for you oh!"
"This isn't happening!!" He covered his face again.
"Dunno why you're so freaked out about this" she shrugged. " It was just sex"
"I AM MARRIED TO YOUR SISTER!!!"

"So should I sprout wings and fly to Ogoni, or 'division' myself into 'twice' because of that?....Hian!!!!"


Long pause.
Lilian got off the bed and stood in front of him as naked as the day of her  birth. He had to admit, she was beautiful....even more beautiful than her sister. Jennifer's long hours at the hospital made sex seem like something they only had  once every leap year. As he stared at Lilian's unholy body, he felt his loins stirring again. He fought back the urge to take her again.


"Listen dear" she began. " we had sex...great sex, and you liked it....scratch that, you LOVED it. And now you have a conscience?....you never start. Biko, I want round two!!"


His phone started ringing. The sound of Jennifer's ring tone filled the air. He felt his heart racing like he'd just ran a fifty-yard dash on a cold morning. The remaining sweat beads on his skin felt like icicles on his body.

This was bad, he thought.....Very bad. His mind raced around possibilities like a crazed rodent on fire. Why was she calling now? Did she know something? Were there hidden cameras in the room? He was freaking out madly. 

It continued ringing.

" You planning on answering that today?"
John said nothing. And it wasn't because he was ignoring her, he just didn't have anything to say. He wasn't  nature a deceitful person. He knew he couldn't lie to his wife if he were threatened with a hand grenade. He was terrified Jennifer might hear the guilt in his voice.

He'd read somewhere that some women had a weird ability to sense when their husbands were lying to them. In Jennifer's case, it was like a super power. She was a cross between Sherlock holms and a human lie detector.
Phone kept ringing.

"If you don't answer it, I will" Lilian said softly.
John picked up the noisy vibrating device and answered the call.
"Hello?" He cleared his throat and tried to sound as casual as possible."What's up babe?"
There was silence on the other end for a long time. John swallowed a small lump in his throat.
"Hey!" Came Jennifer's voice. It scarcely above a whisper. She knew, he thought. She most definitely knew. He was f**ked.

"...uh....so hows it going?" He fought back the urge to just burst out a confession.
"...I...I don't know....." She sounded a little distracted and there was a hint of sadness in her voice. Dear lord, what was he thinking sleeping with his wife's teenage sister? This was wrong.....epically wrong  on so many levels. Jennifer would most definitely kill him ( by some form of lethal injection) or worse.....divorce him. He was highly doubtful   he could stay broke, unemployed and married to someone else.

He stared at Lilian. The teenager seemed amused. She had a creepy grin on her face that reminded him of a Still-Frame of a Tiger-Shark he'd seen on Nat-Geo Wild.

"...It's Lilian...!" Jennifer with a heavy sigh after a long silence. John's heart-beat wasn't just racing, it had gone super-sonic.
Lilian was making provocative gestures with her hands.
"W-what about her....?" He heard his own voice say.


Long silence.
Then Jenifer began to cry.
".....She's HIV positive." She sobbed.
John felt the blood drain from his head. His heart-rate could've broken the sound barrier for all he cared. The phone suddenly felt heavy in his clammy palm.
"...you know she always has her.....tests at my hospital...." Jennifer's  shakey voice continued.  "......She had her medicals yesterday......the results....(sob)....just came......I just got it......how can she have HIV?.....HOW?" Then she broke into a series of uncontrollable sobs.
Long pause.
".....I...can't deal...(sob)....I'll call you later....."


LINE DISCONNECTS.
John still held the phone to his ear. Everything else he'd heard after '.....she's HIV Positive' was white noise.
Lilian still had a grin on her face.
