"Peter!...Peter!"Bola was frantic as the rest of the group gathered around the now motionless body.

For a few seconds all they could hear was the sound of the clock.

Their eyes scanned each other's faces again.....fearfully.

"Somebody do something!!!"Bola screamed looking around.

The faces that stared back at hers were all frightened.

In a somewhat desperate gesture,Christian  crouched next to Peter's limp form.

"lets check for a pulse"He said as he reached out.

"Don't touch him!!!"She snapped as she smacked his hand away....violently.

The look in her eyes was homicidal.



"Nobody touch him!!!"she crouched over Peter protectively as she glared at the scared confused faces above her.

Eva stood a little way off watching....seemingly uncertain of what to do next.

"...Peter!!....Peter!!...."Bola began crying
"...(sob)....(sob)...Peter....please get up......Oh!my God!!!"

The rest of  them seemed frozen.

Long pause.

"What did you do,Eva?"Victor said as all eyes turned to the terrified girl.

"I...I just gave him...the soup...."Eva began.

"You B**Ch,....(sob)...you poisoned him!!!"Bola's voice screeched.

"Bola,...Just relax...!!!"

"Don't you dare touch me.....!!!"Bola snapped as she slapped Christian's hand away.

"...all of you....you all killed him!!!"

"Don't be absurd!!"Victor began.

"....Don't even talk to me....all of you....if Peter is dead....then someone poisoned him!!!"She yelled out desperately.

"I...I didn't ....I....!!!"Eva managed, but the words barely made It out.

"What other explanation is there?"Bola's tear filled and angry face said.

"Just  because she served the food doesn't mean anything"  Victor said curiously.

"He's right....."Christian began as he stared at the lifeless body on the floor.

".....when we split up to search the house,...any one could've...."

Christian suddenly stopped talking and stared at the something on the far side of the room.

"You......(sob)....poisoned him you b**Ch!!"Bola spat at Eva.

"I didn't do anything.....I just served him soup!!!"

"You poisoned him!!!"Bola rose to her feet and made a mad charge towards her,grabbing Eva by the throat.

The force of the charge sent Eva crashing to the floor as Bola continued to squeeze her throat.

Commotion and yells all around as they tried to pry Bola off the screaming girl.

"You....... poisoned him!!!"Bola was screaming as they pulled her off the gasping and terrified Eva.

"Leave her be, Bola!"Victor managed as he wrestled her away.

Christian was still staring at....whatever it was he was still staring at.He seemed oblivious to all the commotion around him.

There was a weird haunted look in his eyes as he continued staring.

"I ...(coughs)...didn't poison him"she said massaging her throat as she picked herself off the floor.

"Liar!!!"Bola spat as she struggled in Victor's grasp.

".....you poisoned him!!!"

Unseen and unheard by all around it,the dark form of the serpent slithered swiftly behind the couch close to the struggling Bola and Victor.

The sounds and vibrations around troubled it's reptilian instincts which were on high alert,ready to strike any potential threat at the slightest provocation.

"It was food YOU prepared.!!"Eva retorted defiantly.

Bola's rage gave way to an almost comical shocked expression.

".....Are you accusing me of poisoning my own boyfriend,you two-faced twat???"she snarled.

"Em.....guys....?"Christian began awkwardly.

But no one was listening.

"How else did the poison get in the food...."Eva was saying.

".......or maybe you tried poisoning Habiba and she found out....so you killed her".

Bola continued struggling to free herself from Victor's arms.

She looked like she would rip Eva to pieces if she were given the chance.

"Lemme go!!"she was struggling against Victor's grasp.

"...Guys!!!" this time,Christian's voice was louder.

Everyone stopped and turned to stare at him.

With a trembling finger,he pointed at the snake box.

They followed his frightened gaze.

The box was empty.

Long pause.

"What the F**k is going on...??."The terror in Victor's voice was unmistakable as he backed away.

"....where the hell is the snake...??"

"I don't know,...but we have to leave this room....now!!!"Christian said fearfully looking around.

Bola's eyes too were terrified as they darted all over the room.

"....how...how come we didn't notice it before?"her voice said.

"Jesus!!!"Eva whispered.

"....I don't know,.. two dead bodies,a sealed house and a poisonous snake doesn't sound like a movie I'd want to feature in" Christian said simply as he started to leave.

"Wh...what about Peter?"Bola asked desperately.

From under the couch,it crawled towards something....something warm.

"...I  think a poisonous snake is the least of his problems right now"Christian's voice was saying.

The snake was teriffied, the  vibrations around it, were confusing.

Suddenly,the warm object in front of the snake moved.

In panic,the deadly reptile launched itself at the threat, sinking its fangs into soft living tissue.

Christian screamed as he felt a sudden searing pain around his ankle....the venom did the rest.
