THE PHONE CALL

This is a portion of a real telephone  conversation that took place between a guy and a girl.

GUY*-So what happened in your last relationship  ?

GIRL* -It just wasn’t working out jor!

GUY*- Hmm. Did he cheat on you or….?

GIRL*-Cheat on me ke? The stupid man wanted me to choose between him and my girlfriend.


GUY*- (static)………. Hellooo! Are you there?can you hear me?

GIRL*-…….I can hear you.

GUY*-OK……..Why would he tell you to do that?

GIRL*-Do I know for him?I have been crying since over that  Foolish man.He has gone back to his wife!

GUY*-Wait…….He is married???

GIRL*-Yes na!with 3 kids.

GUY*-…….Were he and his wife separated or divorced when you guys were dating?

GIRL*-No oh! (static)They…..(static)
……..were still together……(static)

GUY*-hello! ……..Are you there? (Sighs) dis network eh?

GIRL*-……. (static)…I’m here o!

GUY*-So you didn’t know he was married ?

GIRL*-Hia! nawa for you o. See question!Of course I knew he was married.

GUY*-I’m  just trying to understand .So why did you date him if you knew ?

GIRL*-So if I love someone, I shouldnt date him because he is married abi? I pray o!

GUY*-(confused)Ok……….so why did he want you to choose between him and your friend??

GIRL*-Do I know for him? Because he found out we’re lovers he became angry and threatened to breakup with me if I didn’t leave her.

GUY*-W…wa..wait!what??? Did you say lovers?

GIRL*-Yes na!she and I have been lesbian lovers  since na!!

GUY*-Lemme get this straight,you
  fell in love with a married man, while you were in an active lesbian relationship with your girlfriend?

GIRL*-Yup!But am done with all that now sha.No more married men.I really need to settle down now.

GUY*- hmmmmm!………….Glad to hear that.Guess you’ve learnt your lesson.So what about your lesbian friend?

GIRL *-I’m still seeing her, we’re  still dating.Any man who wants to marry me must accept her as a part of my life.

GUY*-……….wow!

GIRL*-What is the “wow” inside? I won’t cheat on him with any other man.Just her.At least am being honest and true to myself.And lesbianism isn’t the same thing as cheating.A real man would know that!

GUY*-……..nawa !
